Sameer Lal is a seasoned risk management professional with over 30 years of experience in the financial sector, both in Canada and internationally. Currently working with one of Canada’s prominent financial institutions, Sameer is also an accomplished author, keynote speaker, and community leader. He has penned four books, including the Amazon bestsellers “Squeeze the Orange: Your Mantra for Success” and “360° Connections: Mastering the Art of Networking.” A first-generation immigrant and recipient of the RBC Global Citizen Award, Sameer founded ComUnity Canada, a non-profit organization that has mentored thousands of newcomers and international students, helping them build successful careers in Canada.

In addition to his professional achievements, Sameer serves on several boards, including the Ontario Vipassana Foundation and the Durham Catholic District School Board's Audit Committee. As a former Lieutenant Governor on the Governing Council of the University of Toronto, he has demonstrated his commitment to education and community development. A passionate cook, Sameer shares over 300 recipes on his YouTube channel, UFO’s Kitchen, showcasing his culinary expertise. With his deep-rooted belief in giving back, Sameer continues to inspire individuals through mentorship, writing, and speaking engagements.
